Join us as Mayor Betsy Crossley shares with Women in Business how the City is set up to serve its citizens and current topics of interest.

Born and raised in Georgia, she earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Microbiology.  Happily married for 30 years, Betsy has two sons that she is very proud of.

From her early job experience in the research arena in the areas of kidney transplantation and hematology, to teaching high school anatomy and biology as an adjunct faculty member of Wake Forest University, to starting her own physician recruiting business, Betsy has consistently tried to serve the members of her community.

Since her retirement, Betsy has taken on the role of a full-time public servant by participating as a member of the Brentwood City Commission and as a member of several local non-profit organizations. Betsy actively volunteers with her church, the American Heart Association, Leadership and Youth Leadership Brentwood, FiftyForward Martin Center, Brentwood Noon Rotary, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Saint Thomas and Baptist Hospital Foundations. Having served the City of Brentwood as a member of the Historic Commission, Planning Commission, Tree Committee and City Commission, Betsy now serves as the Mayor of Brentwood. In addition to her mayoral duties, Betsy sits as a member of the Executive Boards of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Regional Transit Authority, the Tennessee Municipal League and the Regional Mayor’s Caucus.
