Born and raised in Georgia, she earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Microbiology. Happily married for 30 years, Betsy has two sons that she is very proud of.
From her early job experience in the research arena in the areas of kidney transplantation and hematology, to teaching high school anatomy and biology as an adjunct faculty member of Wake Forest University, to starting her own physician recruiting business, Betsy has consistently tried to serve the members of her community.
Since her retirement, Betsy has taken on the role of a full-time public servant by participating as a member of the Brentwood City Commission and as a member of several local non-profit organizations.
