Speaker: Matt Largen, Director
Williamson County Economic & Community Development
Matt Largen serves as the Director of the Office of Economic Development for Williamson County, Tennessee where he manages and directs countywide economic development strategies, including retention and expansion of existing business, recruitment of new business, and entrepreneurship. He previously served as the Director of Business Recruitment at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce for 3 and-a-half years.
Largen moved to Nashville almost 4 years ago from Little Rock where he served as the business development coordinator at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. He first began work in economic development through the office of U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln. Largen earned a bachelor’s degree at Henderson State University and a master’s degree at the University of New Hampshire. He is currently working towards certification as an economic developer through the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
